On November 10, Disneyland Paris kicked off its 20th Christmas season by inviting children from the Great Ormond Street Hospital to make their dreams come true. The programme comprised two fantastic days at Disney Parks, including magical workshops with celebrities as well as an advance screening of the new Disney Christmas film, Wreck-It Ralph and an emotive performance by the Paris Opera Children’s Choir.
A number of celebrities responded to Disneyland Paris’ invitation to welcome the children and teenagers from the Great Ormond Street Hospital. Bérénice Bejo, François-Xavier Demaison, Franck Dubosc, Sandrine Kiberlain, José Garcia, Maud Fontenoy, Amaury Leveaux, Bruno Solo, Clotilde Courau, Laetitia Hallyday, Laurence Ferrari, Xavier De Moulins, Estelle Denis et Jean-Pierre-Pernault – to name but a few – agreed to participate in magical workshops with children who came to make their dreams come true.
The children from the Great Ormond Street Hospital, surrounded by celebrities, were able to enjoy the magic of Christmas, made even better this year by the 20th anniversary of Disneyland Paris. Together, they met Mickey and his friends in their best party outfits, not forgetting Father Christmas, who had also arrived at the Disneyland Park. They discovered the all-new Christmas Cavalcade and enjoyed the snowflakes on Main Street, U.S.A… before experiencing the extravaganza of magic, thrills and special effects that is the Disney Dreams®! show, featuring high-definition projections against the Sleeping Beauty Castle, fountain shows and smoke effects that were simply breath-taking! But that’s not all…
The Park welcomed the Paris Opera Children’s Choir, who performed during the all-important Tree Lighting Ceremony, in a show especially designed and orchestrated by Disneyland musicians. The children, who came from all over Europe, then sang Disney Christmas songs that have influenced generations. Accompanied by Mickey and their favourite Disney characters, they lit up the Sleeping Beauty Castlebefore transforming it into an incredible Christmas tree full of imagination and sweet treats. They were then plunged into the world of Wreck-It Ralph for an unforgettable launch ceremony!
Until to 6 January 2013, the Disney’s Enchanted Christmas is the ideal moment to get together with family or friends at Disneyland Paris.
